Taking FIVE original tracks, all awesome cuts in their own right, from artists as diverse in sound as Dirty Job, Strong4Life, Savage Roots, Slangor and G.A.P.E ;and transforming them into mutated monsters of audio power. There is a darkness lurking in the Midwest. It has a name, and its name is Mister Black, A.K.A. Corey Neilson of Minneapolis, Minnesota. He has a steady history of bringing the heat. No matter if its creating his signature sound of bass madness in the studio, or getting crowds hype all over the U.S. behind the decks with a clever mix of turntablism, clean mix technique, and genre bending transitions.
Upcoming on 10/29/12 on Future Follower Records will be his latest iteration in his progressive novel of bass literature known as the Moral Decay EP, with 3 originals, and remix support from labelmate Catex. Moral Decaysets the tone for the entire collection with a steady synth bounce progressing into a dark soundscape and haunting spoken word female vocals, then drops into a heavy drumstep dance beat while maintaining the dark tone. Heavy Foota has a rudebwoy edge to it, and brings the drop hard. I Don’t is a midtempo party starter, but with a heavy bass weight and great build. The remix of Moral Decay by Catex is just as sinister as the original, but with a purposefully sharper edge and equally as head bangin’.
